Specifications include, but are not limited to: 6.1 Modifications to the Number of Locations: The bidder agrees to allow the Unified Government to modify the number of locations and add or delete locations based upon the Unified Government’s needs. All additional locations will be similar in nature to those locations on the original list. A negotiated price per cutting will be based upon the size of the lots, buildings, trees and terrain of the lots involved, with the final decision on award at the sole discretion of the Unified Government. A list of weed lot locations is available upon request from the Unified Government Parks & Recreation Department. 6.2 Availability of Funds: A limited amount of funds will be available on an annual basis and the number of cuttings and locations may be adjusted to meet the funds available. The failure of the Unified Government to provide funds for the cutting of wed lots shall be grounds for suspension of services or termination of the contract by the Unified government when those funds are exhausted. 6.3 The proposed bid is for the furnishing of all materials, labor, tools and equipment required necessary to meet the needs of the cutting of weed lots which are identified by the Noxious Weeds Division. 6.4 Bidder's shall visit the areas of work and existing facilities and shall familiarize themselves of existing conditions and limitations. 6.5 The successful bidder will be required to cut weeds, brush, grass and any other vegetation to a height of not more than three (3) inches above the ground. This is to include all vegetation with a diameter of one inch or less. The successful bidder will also be required to trim all of the above types of vegetation to a height of not more than three (3) inches above the ground. This refers to areas alongside of any walks, sidewalks, curbs, and structures of any kind, and trees with a diameter of greater than one inch. This work is to be performed over the entire area of each lot. All Sidewalks/Driveways will be Swept or Blown of Debris after Cutting. 6.6 It will be the responsibility of the successful bidder to remove and dispose of all Paper, Limbs, Brush, Debris and other types of trash before a lot is cut. 6.7 If the successful bidder finds building materials, trees or other types of debris that would take more than one pick-up load to remove from one individual lot Noxious Weeds Personnel are to be notified before the successful bidder attempts to cut the lot.
