Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Gas Models - All spark plugs are to be adjusted and cleaned or replaced when necessary. • Diesel Models – All injectors will be inspected and or cleaned where applicable. • Ignition condensers and points are to be adjusted, cleaned, and/or replaced when needed. • The entire system is to be kept lubricated and the oil changed, if the hour meter indicates more than 100 hours of operation since the last oil change. (Maximum number of oil changes per year is one (1)). • The hour meter must be properly calibrated and operating properly and accurately as evidenced by a log. • Fuel tanks and lines are to be inspected for the purpose of determining if excessive sludge or rust is collecting. All fuel filters, sediment bowls, etc. are to be cleaned and replaced when necessary. • Check the entire system for fuel, oil, and/or water leaks. • Check the condition of the batteries and report any action necessary for recharging or replacing. The condition of the batteries must be detailed in the report submitted after the inspection. • Clean air filter and/or replace when applicable. • Check brushes on generator for proper setting and operation. • Check automatic transfer switch for proper operation and clean all contacts therein when necessary. • Check all instruments and/or gauges for proper operation. • Instruct each location’s respective Building Superintendent as to the proper upkeep and operating procedures in-between the regular visits. • After all of the above inspections, run the generating set, conduct a halfhour test, and report accordingly. • An annual oil analysis will be performed on all generators and kept on file with the ASOC. o The purpose of this analysis is to compare the previous results that are on file diagnostically so as to understand any wear and tear issues that may be going on. Once this comparative report has been generated, the vendor will make recommendations so as to extend the useful life of the particular generator.
