Specifications include, but are not limited to: Water Tank: Shall be elliptical leg type with 1635-gallon capacity, black in color, (no exception). The tank shall have a removable, anti-surge “Butterfly Baffle” system (indentation in tank not acceptable) that reduces tank volume by no more than 1.5%. The tank and baffle material must be UV stabilized polyethylene. The tank will be saddle mounted and secured to the bed with a minimum of four (4) heavy duty steel bands. The bed shall have extra support between the bed runners to thru bolt the tank bands. The hose between the tank and sprayer pump shall be a 1 ½-in. non-collapsible suction hose. The suction line must include two (2) 1 ½” brass ball valves mounted in the front and rear of the tank leg as low as possible to serve as the tank shutoff and drain valve. These valves shall be mounted on the curb side of tank and within easy reach of the operator from the ground. The tank lid shall be 16-in. diameter minimum, positive locking type with an air vent to prevent damage from pressure or vacuum. The tank shall have gallonage markers on the end of the tank with a sight tube to determine the fluid level in the tank. A sparger tube shall be installed the full length tank to aid in agitation of chemical and pressure control from the motorized butterfly valve. Water Tank Fill: To be a 2” minimum line installed to fill through the tank lid with a 4” minimum anti-siphon air gap. The fill line must run under the flatbed deck to a convenient curbside location. A 2” “Y” strainer must be installed in the fill line at a location that allows easy access. The fill hose connection will be a 2” male camlock with cap and retainer chain. The loading hose shall be a 25-ft. by 2-in. mill hose with a 2 ½-in. female fire hydrant swivel brass connection. LCG Flatbed: Shall be a custom low mount design 16ft. by 102” wide and the bed height will be a maximum of 8-in. from top of frail rails. The bed deck will be 1/8” or 11 gauge diamond steel plate. The outside bed rails and cross members under the deck shall be 3-in. x 1.41-in. channel (no formed channel accepted) with web installed vertically. The cross members will be spaced to provide the support necessary for bed mounted components. The bed will have a main sprayer pump and power plant mounted in front of the rear tires on the right side of the chassis. The bed shall have a headache rack to contain two (2) amber strobe lights placed so as to be clearly visible to traffic behind the truck, and two (2) flags mounted on each side above strobe lights. The bed shall have all LED stop and running lights and reflectors installed per Federal Highway specifications. Anti sail mud flaps (minimum of ½” thick rubber) shall be mounted behind the rear wheels.
