Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Delaware Veterans Home is soliciting bids for one (1) Psychiatric Medical Director for a minimum of 16 hours per month. There is also an option to bid on a Psychologist, or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or both. Full details of the responsibilities of the Medical Director, Psychologist, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker can be found in Appendix A & B. The Minimum Qualifications for the Medical Director: 1) Possession of a Delaware Psychiatrist license or eligibility for a Delaware license. 2) Possession of a Certification as a specialist in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. 3) Three years’ experience in the practice of Psychiatry. 4) Experience in medical services in a Veterans Home setting, long term care facility, or similar setting, 5) Knowledge of VA, Medicaid and Medicare regulations and guidelines, 6) Possess a license to practice Psychiatry in the State of Delaware for the term of the contract, 7) Meet federal and state eligibility requirements to participate in VA, Medicaid, and Medicare, and 8) Possess or obtain within one (1) year from commencement of contract, certification as a specialist in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. All costs associated with certification shall be the responsibility of the successful bidder.
