Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this contract is for the DISTRICT to both effectively and efficiently procure a calcium nitrate chemical treatment solution and additional technical services, which is utilized by the DISTRICT to support its odor management control program. The additional services may include, but may not be limited to analysis, design, and post installation support (on-going maintenance, engineering, sampling, testing, training). The goal of the program is to provide the lowest overall cost to District, while meeting odor management control objectives set by the Collection System Services Division. Program components shall be delivered FOB Collection System Services Division Service Area (Las Vegas, Laughlin, Desert Breeze, Desert Inn, Searchlight, Moapa Valley, Blue Diamond, Coyote Springs, and Indian Springs) to the existing and future liquid phase odor control stations. The DISTRICT has found that a 58% Calcium Nitrate product with 3.5 pounds of nitrate oxygen works best in our desert environment. The proposed product shall not contain more than 0.7% ammonium by weight. This product has been proven to be effective at reducing odors therefore no substitute chemical products will be considered.
