Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) recognizes the need for continuous improvement as it strives to provide safety for motorized and non-motorized users. This project shall be comprised of two separate design tasks that improve on (1) existing pedestrian protection at bus terminal locations on RTC’s facilities South Strip Transit Terminal (SSTT) and Bonneville Transit Center (BTC), and (2) the prevention of unauthorized vehicles from entering RTC’s facility South Strip Transit Terminal (SSTT). Task 1 design services for security bollards shall provide construction documents for the procurement and installation of passive crash-attack-resistance bollards, spaced no more than 4 ft. apart, along coach bays, passenger waiting areas, public drop-off sites at bus terminals, and around exterior utility service at RTC Facilities, namely South Strip Transfer Terminal (SSTT) located on 6675 Gilespie St, Las Vegas, NV 89119, and Bonneville Transit Center (BTC) – 101 East Bonneville Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89101 Task 2 design services for electronic gate drop arms shall provide construction documents for the procurement and installation of gate drop arms, electrical and software supporting infrastructure, construction civil improvements inclusive of widening pavement entrance and raised centerisland, pavement markings, and advisory signage at the SSTT located on 6675 Gilespie St, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
