Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT) is requesting proposals for a coordinator for the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC) to be held June 6-16, 2024, on the island of O‘ahu. a) The provider must be a 501(c)3 organization able to intake donations that enable donors to claim a federal income tax deduction for their donation, or a consortium of for-profit and not-for-profit entities with a 501(c)3 as the lead fiscal agent. b) Demonstrated experience in ‘large scale’ (e.g., $5 million budget, 1,000+ attendees or 10+ sites) event management; c) Full understanding of the production process for events in particular Festivals; d) Proven and strong background in financial and budget management; e) Sound administrative and human resource skills is essential; f) Extensive experience working within both the public and private sectors; g) Extensive experience in understanding of regional organizations and structures throughout the Pacific; h) Demonstrated Fundraising and Sponsorship experience; i) Demonstrated understanding of FestPAC; j) Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of Pacific cultures; k) Demonstrated understanding/appreciation of multiple art disciplines; and l) Demonstrated understanding of Native Hawaiian and Pacific Island cultures and protocols.
