Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project generally consists of full depth reconstruction of the entire 7,500 linear feet of Runway 16-34 plus an additional 500-foot overrun, which is currently 150 feet wide with paved shoulders. Reconstruction will include the intersection of Runway 16-34 and Runway 5-23, and all intersecting taxiways. New Runway 16-34 edge lighting, centerline lighting, landing zone lighting, guidance signs, and other airfield electrical infrastructure including duct banks, hand holes and conduit/cabling are included. Stormwater improvements consisting of new drain inlets, drainpipe and significant stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) are included with the project. The side safety areas of Runway 16-34 will be re-graded, which will include earthwork (cuts and fills), a new topsoil surface layer and seeding. The completed runway pavement surface will be grooved, and new pavement markings will be applied to all runway and taxiway pavement within the project area.
