Specifications include, but are not limited to: The KHP will be transitioning from traditional evidence tracking methodologies set in place via Patrol policy in years past, to a new standalone Evidence Software Management Database. This new Evidence Software Management Database (and system) will enable the Patrol to realize an enhanced accountability/accuracy level pertaining to evidence/property inventory, evidence/property involved in court cases, evidence out for analysis as well as chain of custody issues via bar codes and scanning capabilities. Our annual inspections, mandated by CALEA and encouraged by IAPE, will further be streamlined and professionally enhanced with the ability to quickly audit and account for Patrol property and evidence.
