Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1.1. Delivery, Storage & Pick-Up 2.1.1.1. The Firm is responsible for receiving and storing their own materials, including unloading of delivery trucks, checking deliveries, transportation to the work site. Material and fabricated pieces may be stored on site only with permission of the USNH Owner representative. 2.1.1.2. Delivery and/or pick-up, site access and parking shall be coordinated with the Owner representative. 2.1.1.3. The Owner has 27 apartments that may require some rental furniture 2.1.1.3.1. Hetzel Hall we be added in the Fall of 2024 for a total of 28 apartments 2.1.1.3.2. Eight apartments are not located on the ground floor (roll in) 2.1.1.3.2.1. Four of these apartments have elevators 2.1.1.3.2.2. Two of these apartments have a short set of stairs to enter the building. 2.1.1.3.2.3. Two of these apartments are one story of stairs up a level 2.1.2. Supply & Installation 2.1.2.1. The Firm shall provide rental furniture options within a the lower to medium price range pre-determined by the owner. 2.1.2.1.1. Firm to provide furniture package(s) that would fit the University staff apartments. 2.1.2.2. The bulk of the delivery would take place between June & July 2023 2.1.2.3. The Owner’s preference is to have the furniture rented for the length of time the employee is in their role. 2.1.2.3.1. Length of employment in this role may vary between 1 year to 3 years. 2.1.2.3.2. State how much notice the Owner is required to give when the rental furniture is no longer needed. 2.1.2.4. Explain the process if the Owner's employee moves to another apartment, how would the Owner request the furniture to be moved, and what is the cost associated with this? 2.1.2.5. Explain the process if the Owner’s employee wants furniture swapped out for another piece of furniture. 2.1.2.6. The Firm will provide clear photos and dimensions of the furniture that is in the designated price range for the Owner. 2.1.2.6.1. The Owner would also consider the option to view and order the items online if staff could only access the designated group of furniture for the University. 2.1.2.7. Rental furniture orders will be coordinated with the Owner representative. 2.1.2.8. Provide an onsite installation supervisor for multiple unit deliveries. 2.1.2.8.1. This is not required for smaller deliveries that only involve 1 unit. 2.1.2.9. Provide all fasteners, fixtures, hardware, and accessories required to install furniture. 2.1.2.10. Firm will be responsible for finish protection (e.g., doors, jambs, walls), including floor protection, during installation process that involve larger pieces of furniture. Failure to note pre-installation conditions of the access/egress routes and installation locations in writing to the Owner representative prior to the commencement of the work will presume damage was done by the Firm during the project.
