Specifications include, but are not limited to: The existing auxiliary concrete spillway for North Harbor Lake at 600 North Harbor Drive is currently failing, resulting in roadway flooding. The downstream slope has recently experienced erosion behind the retaining wall. This project involves replacing the existing 1420 square-foot concrete spillway and 48” area inlet with a 1760 square-foot concrete spillway and 84” drop inlet. The project also involves installing 190 linear feet of poured curb and 1730 square feet of grouted riprap as overflow measures. Associated work with the spillway installation includes minor grading and a geotechnical inspection of the saturated subgrade. Associated stormwater infrastructure work includes the modification of an existing junction box, and removal and reinstallation of a 12” HDPE storm pipe. Additional project elements include removing fencing, handrails and guardrails as needed on Riverside Drive. Erosion and sediment control measures will need to be installed and maintained for the project duration.
