Specifications include, but are not limited to: The following Specifications are the minimum that IDFG is willing to accept. Big Tex Dump Trailer model 14LP-16, or equal. Length/width - must be sixteen (16) ft. in length and eighty-four (84) in. in width. Axles - must include two (2) seven thousand (7,000) lbs. Super Lube axles, or equal. Brakes - must have electric drum brakes. Pull Type - must be bumper pull type. Body Thickness – must be at a minimum ten (10) gauge thickness steel, sides must be integral with smooth floor. Body Sides – must be at a minimum twenty-four (24) in. high. Fenders – must be at a minimum nine (9) in. deep by seventy-two (72) in. in length and constructed of fourteen (14) gauge diamond plate. Ramps/Rear Jacks – must have pull out ramps with rear jacks. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) – must have a minimum GVWR of fourteen thousand (14,000) lbs. Suspension – must have a multi-leaf spring suspension with equalizer. Main Frame – must be constructed from minimum eight (8) in. I-beams with integral tongue of the same construction. Jack – must be a side wind drop leg type with a twelve thousand (12,000) lbs. rating. Hydraulic Power - Bed must be power up, gravity down with a fourteen (14) ft. corded remote. Battery/charger - Battery must be minimum twenty-seven (27) series deep cell battery with an onboard 110v 5amp charger. Gate - must include a three (3) way gate. Stake Pockets – must include at a minimum four (4) stake pockets on each side of the trailer. Tie Downs – must include minimum four (4), five eighths (5/8) in. D-Rings. Tarp – must include a twenty (20) ft. heavy duty tarp. Color – trailer must be painted black in color.
