Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Topeka is seeking bids on the outerwear apparel items to include freight costs. These apparel items shall be purchased on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly schedule. Bid prices shall reflect accurate pricing per unit regardless of the quantity purchased per order and the cost per garment for embroidery or patch and logo sewing. I. Embroidery Utilities Department Only A. The Contractor shall furnish the following embroidery services to the Utilities Department uniform items as needed. “CITY OF TOPEKA UTILITIES” pant logos are ½” tall x 3-1/2” long and will be embroidered only (no patches) in block letters using yellow thread. B. Logos for shirts and jackets are 4-1/2” long x 1-3/4” tall with the logo shown as referenced in “Approved Logos” attachment, in which the measurements for this logo are from the top - to the bottom of the raindrop. The words will be directly embroidered one quarter of an inch (1/4”) above the left pocket with one-half inch (1/2”) tall letters and on the pants one-quarter of an inch (1/4”) above the left pocket with one-half inch (1/2”) letters. II. Patches and/or Embroidery All Other Departments and Divisions A. Department Logo, Division Logo, and Name as requested by other City Departments and Divisions. The City of Topeka provides City, Utilities, Fire, and Police Logos to the vendor(s) in the Approved Logos Attachment, for adherence to uniform items. The Contractor shall provide one (1) price for each patch they are obligated to supply and one (1) price for sewing charges that will cover the cost to attach a patch to a uniform item. a. The attachment of Department and Division patches is optional at the preference of the requesting Department. All patches shall be of an embroidery design with glue backing, sewn on with thread, and the City shall select the color, size, and shape of each patch to be worn on the uniform shirts. Direct embroidery shall be offered as an option.. 10 oz. or more denim; 100% cotton, blue denim & brown; all sizes, short, regular and tall. Examples: Carhartt, Key Apparel, Dovetail Workwear or equivalent . 10 oz. or more denim; 100% cotton, blue denim & brown; all sizes, short, regular and tall . 10 oz. or more denim; 100% cotton; blue denim; all sizes, short, regular and tall. Long Sleeve; 9 oz. chamois; 100% cotton with two (2) front pockets; all colors; all sizes regular and tall. Examples: Carhartt, Red Kap, Wrangler or equivalent
