Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.26.1 The selected security services company shall provide all labor and equipment to perform the following security services at McCormick, Beacon, Brookmill, Tall Oaks, River Cove, North Highlands, Brooklyn Manor and Posterity Scholar House consistent with, and in addition to, the requirements of Attachment J – “Procedures for Security Services in Residential Communities,” and consistent with the schedule outlined in Attachment H – “Proposed Schedule.” FWHA reserves the right to adjust this schedule if on-site circumstances warrant such adjustment to better secure the communities. 3.26.2 The selected security company will manage, schedule, and provide additional security for all FWHA communities’ sworn officers that will consist of the Fort Wayne Police Department or the Allen County Sheriff’s Department. The security company will act as a liaison between the FWHA and the sworn officers. They will ensure that the officers are scheduled and held accountable to the FWHA. The sworn officers will check in for duty with the security company supervisor, pick up a FWHA radio, conduct hourly radio checks, patrol, and check in with the security officers working at McCormick, Beacon, Brookmill, Tall Oaks, River Cove, North Highlands, Brooklyn Manor and Posterity Scholar House. The sworn officers will work 20 hours per week. The 20 hours will be scheduled during the security guard’s 40-hour work week. The sworn officers will be required to complete a daily activity log and fax it to the security company office at the end of their shift. Any additional duties the FWHA may need the sworn officers to complete will be coordinated through the security company. 3.26.3 The selected security services company shall be required to attend weekly meetings with each of the McCormick, Beacon, Brookmill, Tall Oaks, River Cove, North Highlands, Brooklyn Manor and Posterity Scholar House management teams to discuss adjustments to the sites and schedules during transitional times, and to ensure that the Security Officers meet the following expectations and perform the following responsibilities: 3.26.4 Security Officer Requirements: Security Officers performing services under the contract to be executed based on this RFP must: 3.26.4.1Be 21 years of age or older. 3.26.4.2 Professionally uniformed, armed security guard. 3.26.4.3 All employees of the security guard company must be covered by the security company license and insurance in accordance with the State of Indiana. 3.26.4.4 Must have High School diploma or G.E.D. 3.26.4.5 Hours 8 hours per day, 5 days per week regularly scheduled hours and rotating days for Full Time position, 8 hours per day, 3 days per week for Part Time position. 3.26.5 Rounds: Hourly rounds, both internally and externally, noted in logbook. 3.26.6 Log: Complete a log noting any and all problems found, weather conditions, security light outages or other preventable threats to public safety. 3.26.7 Communications: Competency with 2-way radio and telephone usage. 3.26.8 Report writing: Legibly complete FWHA approved incident report forms, other documents. 3.26.9 Contacts: Ability to work with resident of all ages and needs as well as staff and visitors. 3.26.10 Maintain relationship with Fort Wayne Police Department and Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
