Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide Annual Street and Sidewalk Sweeping Services. The actual work is to be performed between April 1st and October 15th and shall include the sweeping of designated arterial, collector, commercial, residential, and industrial streets as detailed by the Sweeper Units and Street Sector area maps attached. Services to include; Spring Residential Sweep up to 200 lane miles "as needed", a Fall Residential Sweep of Units 2 and 4. These Units will be broken into Sectors, (see attached exhibits). In conjunction with sweeping of streets; all sidewalks shall be watered down, and all debris will be swept into the street. All areas swept shall then be back flushed with a high pressure flusher truck. The Contractor shall provide an "As-Required" Chip Seal Sweeping Service. Usually within 24-Hours following chip seal placement, the Contractor will be notified by the Street Maintenance Division to start removing loose aggregate from the street segments, parkways, sidewalks and intersecting streets. Sweeping operations shall continue until all excess aggregate is removed from the roadway surface abutting the Right-Of-Way. It is estimated that there will be an average of four (4) to five (5) sweeper loads of debris per street block. The aggregate shall be disposed of by the Contractor at an MOA approved disposal site. The Contractor shall use water at all times to maintain dust control. The Chip Seal Sweeping operations shall be accomplished without the use of gutter brooms or steel-tined brooms unless approved by the MOA.
