Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) is seeking to procure a Raman microscope ; A Raman microscope capable of imaging a sample, obtaining Raman spectra, and search capabilities for composition determination; General Equipment Description: o Microscope: A confocal microscope with magnification capabilities up to 1000X, with a minimum of 4 different objectives The stage shall be capable of holding multiple samples of various diameter and thickness along with appropriate microscope objectives to achieve optimal performance for sample size range. Several sample holder configurations shall be included to adapt to samples of various shapes and sizes. A sample up to 4” tall should be able to fit in the microscope, or the system must come with a fiber optic port and probe. Fiber optic port shall be user installable and require no tools. Digital microscope images can be captured independently of the Raman. The motorized microscope stage system shall demonstrate facile and precise x-y-z control, and Z-control should have an autofocus function o Raman: The system shall come with lasers with appropriate nm ranges for graphene samples (532nm) and polymer samples (785nm), as well as 455nm and 633nm lasers. Software/hardware options to minimize fluorescence bleaching Wavelength accuracy 0.1 cm-1 RMS The system must be capable of collecting a complete spectrum (50cm-1 to 3500 cm-1 ) (50cm-1 to 3250 cm-1 for the 785nm laser) with a spectral resolution of 5 cm-1 or better
