Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Installation of a new Primary Digester Heat Exchanger, Pipes and Valves There are 2 piping loops that run thru the heat exchange, one for supplying hot water to heat the digester sludge and one for transporting the digester sludge thru the heat exchanger to be heated. The hot water piping is black steel and the digester sludge piping is stainless steel. The new piping for both the sludge and hot water systems shall be tied into the existing pipe layout as shown on the plans. This will involve taking precise field measurements and connecting the new pipe to the existing using fittings and/or welding as necessary as shown on the plans. It should be noted that the plans show general dimensions for the new piping, but all pipe installation should be field verified by taking precise measurements before ordering, cutting or welding new pipe to existing.
