Specifications include, but are not limited to: To minimize disruption to the businesses and traveling public, the N 48th Street Rehabilitation project will be constructed concurrently with the N 48th Street Water Main Replacement project. Construction phasing has been established to allow the water main work to occur prior to the street rehabilitation, however there are times when the work will overlap. Traffic Signal Installation at N 48th Street & Cornhusker Hwy may occur at any time under lane closures. Except for the traffic signal at N 48th Street & Cornhusker Hwy, the N 48th Street Rehabilitation Project shall be constructed in five (5) segments as defined in these special provisions. Segment A – Cornhusker Hwy to Superior Street Work in Segment A shall consist of all asphalt work, concrete repairs, and all other work as shown on the plans between Cornhusker Hwy and Superior Street. The Contractor will be allowed a full closure to complete the work within Segment A. The Contractor will be allowed 21 consecutive calendar days to complete this work. Failure to meet this time frame and open the intersection to traffic shall result in liquidated damages to be assessed in accordance with the Lincoln Standard Specifications. During this timeframe, the Contractor for the Water Main Replacement Project shall be completing work between Madison and Gladstone. Segment B – Gladstone to Cornhusker Hwy Work in Segment B shall consist of all asphalt work, concrete pavement repairs, concrete slope protection, and all other work as shown on the plans between Gladstone and Cornhusker Hwy.
