Specifications include, but are not limited to: The primary focus shall be on the role, responsibilities, ethics, and scope of practice of peer support specialists, peer supervisors, counselors/clinicians, and clinical supervisors. The focal point of this session is to focus on the effectiveness of working as a team. Identifying Gaps and Challenges: This section shall provide an overview of the current layout and dynamics of the services that exist in North Dakota. The goal is to answer these two questions. Where are the gaps in services? What are the current challenges in integrating clinical and non-clinical services? Model of Integration: The model of integration is the cornerstone of this training. In this section a model for integrating peer support specialists into clinical treatment settings shall be introduced. This model shall illustrate how the clinician and peer have the potential to be an effective team. The model of integration requires mutual respect and understanding. It also requires a level of trust in one another that allows each position to do exactly what it is intended to do while minimizing confusion, threats, or misunderstandings
