Specifications include, but are not limited to: These specifications describe Solar-Powered Trailer-Mounted Three Color Traffic Signal (TMTS) System (two trailers per system). The units will be NEMA TS1, TS2 and TS 5Type TR1 PTS compliant The units shall comply with the requirements for Portable Traffic Control Signals as defined in the Federal Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Part IV, including specifically the requirements pertaining to signal heads, lamps, and spacing of signals, clearance, and number of signal faces. The TMTS System units shall utilize L.E.D. traffic signal indications meeting the Institute of Traffic Engineers (ITE) specifications. Each TMTS System delivered shall contain the trailer, structural support system, mast arm assembly; lift mechanism, regulated power supply, batteries, solar charging system, an auxiliary 110V AC charging system, trailer-mounted traffic signal controller, signal heads, radio interconnectivity, microwave detector, all necessary wire and cable and all ancillary equipment. The TMTS System shall be able to function continuously, independent of utility power sources. The system trailers shall conform to applicable sections of the New Hampshire Vehicle and Traffic Law governing trailers, including lighting to highway standards. The unit shall survive all vibration in any axis normally encountered during transportation. The units shall be delivered to NHDOT Mechanical Services at 33 Smokey Bear Blvd for inspection and acceptance. The system must be able to communicate with and work with Horizon Signal SQ3TS and 5Q2 Portable Traffic Signal Systems of the vintage 2003 through 2020. The NHDOT Bridge Maintenance owns four SQ 3 systems and four SQ 2 systems currently and all are capable of operating in compatibity mode with the Horizon Signal PTS Programmer Version MT4.0.35.
