Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Revenue seeks to purchase new vision tester equipment. Refurbished equipment will not be considered. Use of a brand name is for describing the standard of quality performance and characteristics desired and is not intended to limit or restrict competition. This equipment is to be fully operational, to the Kansas Department of Revenue and will subsequently place them within various Driver’s License Examining Stations throughout the state. Machine requirements: * Equipped with an ON-OFF switch * Test presentation can be seen only by the subject * Test results shall be observed by only the subject and the test administrator * Will accommodate a minimum of four (4) test presentations at one time, with additional tests easily added * Equipped with a Peripheral Vision Test * New presentations can be easily and quickly interchanged or replaced by Department of Revenue personnel in the field offices * Designed with occlusion mechanism that consists of electrical switches and provides positive occlusion of the right and left eye independently * Illumination will pass through the test slides and not reflect off the slide; * Illumination shall be evenly distributed over the entire area of the test slides and no outside light shall enter the viewing area * Two (2) Bulbs are easily replaced, without the use of accessory tools, by field staff * One (1) dust cover to fit machine * One (1) owner’s manual, containing complete usage instructions, drawings, parts list, specifications, sources of supply and electrical schematics; The vision tester equipment must be compact and lightweight, weighing less than 16 pounds and designed for table-top or counter-top use. Outer construction must be of a stable, durable, heavy-duty material, with a smooth non-staining, easily cleaned surface. Electric requirements must be a normal 110V and carry the approval of Underwriters Laboratories.
