Specifications include, but are not limited to: 36” COMBINED CURB AND GUTTER Article 4.09.F shall have the following addition: 36” COMBINED CURB AND GUTTER shall be completed in conformance with the plans and Standard Specifications and accepted by the City’s Project Manager, shall be measured along the face of the curb through all inlets. Payment shall be made at the contract unit price bid per linear foot for 36” COMBINED CURB AND GUTTER. ADJUST PULL BOX TO GRADE ADJUST PULL BOX TO GRADE complete, in place and accepted by Traffic Engineering, shall be measured for payment as single units for each type and shall be paid for at the contract unit price bid per each for the item. This price and payment shall be full compensation for all excavation required; for adjusting and grading the pull box and lid; for conduit, conduit bends or long radius sweeps and aggregate base; and for all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and incidentals required to complete the work. SPECIAL STORM DRAIN INLET A. GENERAL Special Storm Drain Inlets shall be constructed where and as indicated on the plans. Special Storm Drain Inlet walls and floors shall be 8” thick and made of L3500 concrete. The Special Storm Drain Inlet vault shall be sized and constructed to accommodate a Deeter Foundy 2045 frame, grate and curb top. The dimensions of this top are 31” x 42 ¼”. Based on existing inlet depth it is anticipated that 1.1 cubic yards of concrete will be needed to form the walls and floor. The Special Storm Drain Inlet vault shall be constructed such that the curb top of the Deeter Foundry 2045 frame, grate and curb matches the existing curb adjacent to the inlet. Should the need arise, a portion of existing curb and gutter, adjacent to the new frame grate and curb can be reconstructed to provide a smooth transition, as directed by the Project Manager. Any existing curb and gutter removal and reconstruction shall be paid for at unit prices established within in the Contract. B. BASIS OF PAYMENT Special Storm Drain Inlets constructed in conformance with these Special Provisions and accepted by the City’s Project Manager shall be counted and paid for at the contract unit price bid per each for SPECIAL STORM DRAIN INLET. Such payment shall be full compensation for all excavation, concrete, Deeter Foundry 2045 frame, grate and curb castings, curb and gutter as called for in the Special Provisions, backfill, materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals necessary to complete each inlet.
