Specifications include, but are not limited to: The primary impetus for this project is to conduct construction and/or renovations to three elementary schools, for the purposes of creating secure entry vestibules. We envision three scenarios emanating from the architect’s construction drawings: o School #1 – Interior spaces will be renovated resulting in a relocation of several existing administrative functions. Wall construction/reconstruction will be required. Relocation of public address system, electrical work, ceiling rework and some sprinkler work are all likely. Some site work involving side walk construction is likely. o School #2 – Interior spaces will be renovated resulting in a relocation of several existing administrative and classroom functions. Wall construction/reconstruction will be required. Relocation of public address system, electrical work, ceiling rework and some sprinkler work are all likely. Some site work involving construction of access ramp and brick walls is likely. o School #3 – A new central school office will be constructed outside the existing footprint of the school, with connections to current main entry. Current main office will be renovated for new purposes to be determined. The construction manager will work with the owner and architect to develop a recommended project budget for the three elementary schools, including all hard and soft construction costs. Meeting schedules with City officials for the duration of the project will include a minimum of one job site meeting every two weeks, and one evening Joint Special School Building Committee meeting per month.
