Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City’s Department of Planning and Permitting (DPP)’s current permitting system was created over twenty (20) years ago. While it has been maintained and tailored over time by the current vendor, permitting technologies have evolved such that preconfigured permitting software with county specific modifications have become industry standard. DPP is conducting market research that will serve to accomplish the work required in the subsequent competitive solicitation to procure a replacement of its current system. The new system is expected to provide improved solutions that will meet various needs across DPP, including streamlining and expediting the processing of permits and inspections/enforcement (building, public works/infrastructure, land use, etc.) with the possibility of electronic plan review integration. DPP is also interested in software that could include a centralized departmental registration system, an electronic payment processing system, research, documentation, etc.
