Specifications include, but are not limited to: 11.1. Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance 11.1.1. Maintain lawns by watering, seeding, mowing, trimming and other operations such as rolling and replanting (as required) to establish and maintain a smooth, acceptable lawn, free of eroded or bare areas. 11.1.2. Maintain trees, shrubs and other plants by pruning, cultivating, and weeding as required for healthy growth. Restore or replace planting saucers and planter pots as required. 11.1.3. Spray lawns, shrubs, trees and other plants with required chemicals and insecticides to keep facility free of undesirable insects and disease 11.1.3.1. Basic lawn spray program: 11.1.3.1.1. Early Spring Lawn Application 11.1.3.1.2. Late Spring Lawn Application 11.1.3.1.3. Summer Lawn Application 11.1.3.1.4. Fall Lawn Application 11.1.3.2. Basic tree spray program: 11.1.3.2.1. Dormant Oil Application 11.1.3.2.2. Spring Insecticide on Trees 11.1.3.2.3. Summer Insecticide on Trees 11.1.3.2.4. Fall Insecticide on Trees 11.1.4. Clean work areas during and after landscaping operations by removing all grass clippings, shrub or tree trimmings, soil and soil aid from sidewalks, parking areas and seeded areas. 11.1.5. Fertilize all grass, shrubs, trees and other plants as required to maintain a healthy landscape. Contractor will be required to submit the Building Coordinator a fertilization plan, including a complete list of all fertilizers and chemicals proposed to be used. 11.1.6. Properly water all seeded areas, trees, shrubs, plants and other landscaping to maintain a high degree of appearance and landscape health. Watering will be accomplished by any combination of manual or installed automatic systems. Watering is to be conducted using the best possible water conservation methods and according to local watering laws, rules, or regulations. 11.1.7. Replace damaged, diseased or dead trees, shrubs, plants and grass. ISP will be responsible for the cost of replacement trees, shrubs, and grass unless damage was caused by contractor’s neglect or improper care or action. 11.1.8. Remove all trash, weeds and litter from grounds (including shrubs and flowerbeds) and parking areas. 11.1.9. Keep all sidewalks and parking areas free of dirt, sand, grass trimmings and litter as required to maintaining a high state of cleanliness and safety. 11.1.10.Sweep and clean all sidewalks and parking lots as required. Parking lots and roads within the facility property are to be swept to remove all sand, dirt, trash, litter and other foreign matter. 11.1.11.Contractor will be responsible for coordinating vehicle removal from the parking areas to reduce interruptions to ISP schedules or operations. 11.1.12.Supply and maintain flowers in planters. 11.2. Snow and Ice Removal 11.2.1. General Services 11.2.1.1. Contractor is responsible for all aspects of snow and ice removal for the entire ISP complex as describe below. 11.2.1.2. Snow and ice removal shall be both routine and emergency services. 11.2.1.3. Snow and ice removal shall be on-call, as required basis only. No retainer fees or minimum fees will be allowed or considered. 11.2.1.4. For planning purposes, ISP has determined notification to activate the snow removal plan shall generally occur with 1” accumulation on sidewalks and/or 2” accumulation on parking lots with continuous snowfall.
