Specifications include, but are not limited to: USNH, representing UNH Facilities Project Management, is seeking qualified firms to provide design/build services for Keener Dairy Research Building HVAC upgrades. This project will include three main portions of work & two add-alts: 1. Decommissioning & demolition of the existing AHU’s & MAU’s. 2. Design & installation of a heat pump system to serve climate control needs of each space in the required capacity for each space. 3. Design & installation of an energy recovery type ventilation system for each occupied space as required, including a make-up air system for the lab that is interlocked to operate only when the fume hood or hoods are in use. 4. Add-Alt 1: Demolition of decommissioned ductwork in attic. 5. Add-Alt 2: Spray foam under-side of pitched roof deck. Spray foam installation shall provide air seal & R value of R50. A. Heating, Ventilating, and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) 1. Equipment, General: Energy efficient equipment as determined by the latest edition of ASHRAE Standard 90.1 and the International Energy Code shall be used for all mechanical equipment specified. 2. Motors, General: All motors shall be premium efficiency as determined by the latest edition of ASHRAE Standard 90.1 and the International Energy Code 3. Properly sized VRF or split-system heat pump system for each occupied space. Indoor units may be ducted or ductless type. Heat pump systems shall be manufactured by Mitsubishi, Daikin or Trane.
