Specifications include, but are not limited to: Student Services Support Staff are individuals who assist building staff in monitoring students in various capacities. The Student Services Support Staff will include services in the form of: Hall Monitor Time-out Monitor In-school Suspension/Redirection Monitor The primary responsibility of the Student Services Support Staff is to support the Student Services Teams in each building. Specific duties for each position may vary from school to school as designed by building administrators ; • Work directly with the district and the schools to ensure that purposeful, quality program and supervision is maintained in each area of assigned responsibility. • Staff should exhibit the personal ability, skills and disposition to perform short term intervention with students. • Provide each school with a staff member to assist in monitoring responsibilities in the areas of the school as requested by each building administrator. • The vendor will provide weekly monitoring and supervision of their hired Staff. • The vendor will ensure that Staff has successfully completed yearly training in the areas of de-escalation, character education, behavior modification, conflict mediation, and redirection (training records to be provided to district and building administrators) and demonstrates the knowledge and skills to work with students and appropriately employ deescalation, character education, behavior modification, re-direction and crisis reduction strategies when appropriate. • Working with building administration, the vendor will ensure that the staff who is hired to monitor in each school are meeting the expectations to perform the duties of the job. • High School Diploma or GED required • A minimum of 3 years of experience in working with students in a school setting required. • Demonstrate the ability to be a team player and work under the daily supervision of professional school staff. • Evidence of criminal background check. • Evidence of ongoing professional development. • The vendor must ensure coverage in the event that the staff member is absent
