Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Kansas is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain competitive responses for a Behavioral Management Training Pilot program. This contract will cover training for 850 family caregivers throughout the State of Kansas. These funds would cover trainer fees, supplies, etc., for training for each family caregiver in behavioral management practices per the attached specifications for the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services (KDADS), Topeka, KS for a child under the age of 18 years old. A. The bidder shall provide a description of evidence-based, training curriculum to be utilized with families. B. The bidder shall work with stakeholders to identify: • children at risk of placement • current training needs of family caregivers and foster-care families throughout the State that are at an elevated level of need for further supports to assist with caring for the disabled child in the home. C. The bidder shall demonstrate how they will elicit family input about the needs of the household to tailor training to each child’s unique need. D. The bidder shall provide the training framework that will be utilized and tailored to meet each child’s unique needs. E. The bidder shall explain data collection and data collection methods that will be utilized by participating family caregivers. F. The bidder shall explain how they will measure and evaluate effectiveness of training. G. The bidder shall define family caregivers as anyone living in the home over the age of 18 and anyone who is a paid family caregiver through a FMS provider or foster care agency.
