Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of South Burlington is seeking a contractor to perform landscaping and maintenance activities in multiple locations throughout the City. This includes the South Burlington City Center area (i.e. Market Street right of way, Market Street Stormwater Pond in City Center Park, Iby Street Bioretention Area, and 180 Market Street) and in Szymanski Park (off of Andrews Avenue) between March and November 2023. The selected contractor will perform the following scope of work: 1. Market Street Right of Way – See area 1 on map in Appendix A a. Spring Clean-Up: Includes removal of leaves, branches and other debris from beds and lawn areas. Raking and blowing of beds as necessary. Edging of beds and tree rings to prevent weed encroachment and define edge of bed/lawn areas. Dress planting beds with fresh spruce bark mulch to a depth of 3” and leave a ring around tree trunks. Repair any damaged lawn or bed areas. Remove any fall decorations. Work must be completed before May 15, 2023 or as agreed upon by the City and selected contractor. b. Bed / Plant Maintenance: Maintain beds throughout the growing season. Beds are to be attended to at least every 14 days. This includes removal of debris, branches, clippings, etc. Requires periodic weeding and cultivation of beds as necessary to maintain acceptable growing conditions. Branches and/or plant material that is dead, dying, or diseased will be removed as necessary. Shrubs not exceeding a height of 15’ will be pruned per their individual species needs and requirements. Remove any staking currently in place.
