Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Topeka is seeking a Consultant to provide bridge inspections for the 2023 Biennial Bridge Inspections Services; 1. Bridge inspections are to be performed by a KDOT Qualified Bridge Inspection Team Leader with the data entered into the KDOT BLP Bridge Web Portal prior to December 10, 2023. 2. Discuss the overall condition of all bridge categories based on the five ratings, including "very good, good, fair, poor, and very poor." This rating system is adopted to be consistent organizationwide for the condition reporting of all assets, including bridges. The five-rating system is already defined based on the Bridge Condition Rating of 0 (worst) to 9 (excellent). No additional bridge condition assessment is required. 3. Review the existing maintenance, rehabilitation, and reconstruction plans and update them in accordance with the inspection data collected as part of this project. Also, update the costs. 4. Prioritize the maintenance, rehabilitation, and reconstruction capital projects on a yearly basis as per the updated list. Provide two separate lists of maintenance projects, including projects for cleaning and projects for physical repairs. 5. The standard KDOT BLP Bridge Inspection Form shall be used to record the field inspections data. Critical findings shall be recorded on the KDOT BLP Critical Inspection Form. 6. Required photographs and any additional photographs needed are to be taken for each bridge inspected to properly document any significant deficiencies, changed conditions or repairs needed. 7. Inspections that result in a Critical Findings Report shall be reported to the City of Topeka and KDOT immediately.
