Specifications include, but are not limited to: Paint used shall be a commercial grade high quality latex paint manufactured specifically for highway marking purposes with glass beads immediately applied to the paint as approved by Road and Bridge. • Paint shall be applied at a rate to provide 21 mills thick to asphalt and 23 mills thick to chip seal and the glass beads at a rate of 8 pounds per gallon of paint. • Edge of pavement line shall be a continuous white stripe. All stripes shall be 4” in width. • Furnish regular beds which are specifically manufactured to be compatible with the paint being used, and which comply with the requirements of AASHTO m247, Type 1. • Paint is to be applied using a self-propelled paint striper with material monitoring equipment.
