Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Barton County Highway Department is requesting bids for mixing approximately 25,000 tons ofcold mix asphalt material for use in our 2023 asphalt program. Barton County will furnish allaggregates and liquid asphalt. The contractor will provide a drum mixer asphalt plant with allnecessary cold feed bins, conveying systems, scales, etc., to produce a uniform asphalt mixmeeting Barton County's specifications. The contractor will furnish all labor, equipment and fuelnecessary to transfer the aggregates from the stockpiles to the plant, dry, mix, weigh and stockpilethe finished product at our location. Please note you will need to provide long range conveyors orprovide adequate equipment to move the material to allow for proper drainage and ease of loading out. All mixing shall take place at our location on South Washington Street in Great Bend, KS., a tour pit 900 location. Barton County will provide liquid asphalt from our asphalt supplier at the percentage we desire. The contractor must restack the finished product at the mixing site asrequested.
