Specifications include, but are not limited to: The state of North Dakota, acting through its Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Support Services (hereinafter referred to as “STATE”), is soliciting proposals to implement a refugee mental health support program for the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR)-eligible populations in Fargo, North Dakota, as part of the Refugee Mental Health Initiative (ReMHI) within the Refugee Health Promotion (RHP) program, a Refugee Support Services (RSS) set-aside program. The successful offeror shall conduct an intake interview with individuals and families to assess their need and understanding of mental health and assist with determining appropriate referrals to community-based mental health services. The successful offeror shall work closely with community and ethnic organizations to ensure that refugees receive comprehensive and coordinated support. The program coordinator shall conduct frequent wellness check-ins, as needed. Check-ins can be provided via home visits or phone calls to eliminate barriers. The program coordinator shall liaise with other ORR-funded programs in the community. This may include collaboration with the reception and placement (R&P) agency, Preferred Community (PC) program, medical screening clinic, etc.
