All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Kanawha County Schools Purchasing Department is soliciting bids to establish for Band Instrument Repair. 4.1.1 Repair Facility Repair Facility must be within the Kanawha County District. This requirement is mandatory and no exceptions will be considered. 4.1.2 Repairs The successful bidder will be required to inspect and pick up all instruments requiring repair during the contract period. The date and time for pick up at each school must be coordinated with the appropriate school personnel. The vendor will be required to pick-up instruments with-in five (5) business days after notification of repair request by either the band director or Coordinator of Fine Arts, Mark Davis. 4.1.3 Summer Repairs The Coordinator of Fine Arts, Mark Davis or the designee music teachers at KCS schools will have a list of instruments that need repair during the summer months by April 30th of each school year. The vendor will work directly with the Coordinator of Fine Arts, Mark Davis or the designee in developing a schedule that will allow for them to be repaired as needed and returned when appropriate school personnel can receive the equipment. 4.1.4 Common Repairs The repairs that are most common to the District are listed on the bid pricing sheet and bidders are required to quote a price for each instrument. The price will include any pick-up and delivery charges from a site located within the school district. 4.1.5 Uncommon Repairs The repair list in this bid is NOT all-inclusive. Bidders are required to submit a per hour price for any repairs not otherwise listed in this bid.
