Specifications include, but are not limited to: Otero County is seeking proposals for weather stations to place throughout the county to help emergency managers get the current weather picture. In general, Otero County requires weather stations that have the ability to be solar powered, work on the cellular network or local internet. Some of our areas have seen winds estimated to be at 120 mph therefore, must function and continue to transmit weather data and images during storms and severe weather. Otero County require weather stations with lightning tools, radar, custom painted weather stations, analytics and weather cameras. Cameras must be high resolution and cloud based. Must install and maintain the weather stations throughout Otero County. Must have remote access to a dashboard to view and set up alerts for each weather station. Must integrate with mobile apps and social media platforms and have the ability to alert through these platforms. These features will allow Otero County to better predict weather and its impacts throughout the County. Otero County is looking at approximately 18 weather stations to be placed throughout the county.
