Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Upon written request by County Project Manager, Contractor shall assess feral bull, cow or calf, hereinafter described as “cow,” and determine appropriate catch method. 2. Contractor shall catch feral cow by method determined to be appropriate by Contractor based upon the demeanor and behavior exhibited by the cow, including by roping, and/or use of coral traps, with the assistance of herding dogs and/or herding horses. 3. If, based on Contractor’s judgment, sedation is necessary for safe capture of the cow, then Contractor shall administer a sedative medication using a sedative Contractor obtains from a licensed New Mexico veterinarian and provides for application. 4. Contractor shall hold cow(s) in a temporary coral, or by tying to a tree, in preparation for collection by New Mexico Livestock Board (“Livestock Board”). 5. Contractor shall transfer captured cows, by herding or transporting captured cows in Contractor’s trailer if necessary, to a location convenient for the Livestock Board to collect cows. 6. Contractor shall document each captured cow, including a photo, and approximate age, weight, and color of each captured cow and include such documentation with Contractor’s invoice to County. 7. Contractor may assist County Project Manager, in contacting the New Mexico Livestock Board representative and notify the Livestock Board that the cow or cows are ready to be trailered off of County property and inform the Livestock Board of the locations of the cow or cows and any other relevant information if the County Project Manager, in his sole discretion, determines such assistance is necessary. 8. Contractor shall remain with the captured cows until the Livestock Board representative arrives, unless the County Project Manager, in his sole discretion, determines otherwise. 9. Contractor shall assist the County Project Manager with loading the cow or cows into the Livestock Board trailer to be removed to a location determined by Livestock Board, unless the County Project Manager, in his sole discretion, determines otherwise. 10. Contractor shall provide all equipment, supplies, and material necessary for the performance of the scope of services described above.
