Specifications include, but are not limited to: The TRPA is seeking a consultant for legislative advocacy services to help execute government affairs programs at the federal level. The successful candidate will assist TRPA staff to: a. Identify and document planning, programming, and funding issues, and key legislative advocates; b. Establish a presence on behalf of TRPA with targeted state and legislative leaders; c. Educate the Governor’s Administration on TRPA’s mission and goals; d. Offer support on budget and regulatory measures favorable to TRPA’s operations and the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program which TRPA manages; RFP 230004 Federal Legislative Advocacy Consulting Services Page 4 of 9 e. Support the Lake Tahoe Restoration Act and accompanying appropriations plus federal infrastructure funding, and; f. Support a grassroots effort to enhance TRPA’s mission with organizations, associations, and the public with similar goals.
