Specifications include, but are not limited to: furnish all supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, personnel, and supervision; pay all taxes, insurance, bonds, license and permit fees, and all other direct and indirect costs necessary to provide Fire Suppression System Repair Services; All work shall be performed during normal business hours. Normal business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding State holidays. Contractor shall check-in and checkout, on the days of work, with the CHP on-site contact person or designee. A. Prepare worksite to prevent any damage to existing walls, ceiling, floor, other equipment, etc. B. Remove drywall and/or fixtures from areas to access the fire sprinkler system. C. Shut off all water and electrical access to areas as necessary. D. Remove the existing two-inch (2”) pipes (mains) with outlets and one-inch (1”) pipes (armovers) to the existing chrome semi-recessed pendent sprinkler heads. E. Install new two-inch (2”) and one-inch (1”) pipes with chrome semi-recessed dry pendant sprinkler heads located in the South Corridor, Center Office Area, and Observation Room. F. Ensure all materials intended for use meet National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 13 standards. G. Provide and install drywall that was removed for repair and where there was wall damage due to the fire suppression system failure. Drywall to match existing. H. Replace framing members, where needed. I. Prepare and prime new sheetrock prior to painting. J. Tape and texture all affected areas. K. Paint walls corner to corner; color to match existing.
