Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.3.1. General Requirements 1.3.1.1. All fiber optic cabling must be 50-micron laser-optimized multi-mode (OM3) with SC terminations. 1.3.1.2. Each fiber optic run must consist of 12 strands and protected either by flexible conduit innerduct or armored, plenum cable. The vendor is responsible for all termination hardware and installation. Fiber test results must be provided upon completion of the installation. 1.3.1.3. Awarded Vendor will be responsible for providing either a rack-mounted or wall-mounted Fiber SC Patch Panels at each MDF or IDF as required. 1.3.1.4. Awarded Vendor will be responsible for providing for two 5-meter SC to LC patch panels to connect switches on both sides 1.3.1.5. Awarded Vendor will be responsible for removing the legacy fiber optic cable per applicable Electrical Code(s). 1.3.1.6. All cabling runs should be labeled appropriately. 1.3.2. Installation Notes 1.3.2.1. Please see the attached documents for the MDF and IDF locations. 1.3.2.2. High School 1.3.2.2.1. The cable paths inside the High School are through the drop ceiling except for the Early College which is accessed via a service tunnel. 1.3.2.3. Elementary School 1.3.2.3.1. The cable path between the MDF and IDF is above the ceiling. 1.3.2.4. Contract details 1.3.3. The system shall be fully functional and ready for use by Tuesday, September 5, 2023. This is dependent on E-rate funding timeline.
