Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Provide safe, transportation services “as needed” seven (7) days per week, up to 24 hours per day for sports and extra-curricular trips for GGUSD students. 2. Provide air-conditioned school bus transportation services seven (7) days per week, up to 24 hours per day for sports and extra-curricular trips, where each seating position in the passenger compartment of all busses is fully air conditioned. This will be accomplished by using fully functional front and rear, or front and overhead air conditioning units in busses. District will have the discretion of rejecting any bus not meeting the district’s requirements; contractor will replace the rejected equipment from the inventory available to the district and replace it with equipment meeting district requirements within five (5) days. 3. Agree to be paid for services based upon the pricing set forth on the bid form price matrix. GGUSD will not be charged “over hours” for any delays due to contractor’s equipment failure or driver performance. There shall be a maximum of four (4) hours charge for cancellation fees. Contractor will confer with District on routes consistently over five (5) hours to determine if additional busses are necessary. 4. Provide vehicles certified to handle students with disabilities including wheelchair accessibility and applicable seat safety restraints as necessary. 5. Have the vehicles availability to serve GGUSD transportation needs. 6. Provide vehicles that have annual CHP inspection records available. 7. Provide certified drivers with experience working with students with disabilities. 8. Provide drivers who possess Class A or B California commercial driver licenses with passenger (P) endorsement and California special driver certificate (DL-45), as applicable. 9. Provide drivers must possess a medical examination certificate, first aid certificate, and California Highway Patrol 292 inspection approval certificate. 10. Provided drivers must be enrolled and cleared in the US Department of Transportation Clearinghouse program.
