Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1 DETERMINING SELECTION CRITERIA 4.1.1 Work with the Board, the Accountability Committee, with individual Board members, and with specified community members, to identify a leadership profile that best meets the needs and desires of the district and its constituents. 4.1.2 Review pertinent data about the District, its needs, and its assets. 4.1.3 Identify, with the Accountability Committee and the Board, preliminary and final selection criteria to be used in the selection process. 4.1.4 Establish specific and appropriate timelines and target dates for various stages of the selection process for approval by the Board. 4.1.5 Assist the Board and the Accountability Committee in determining necessary site visits as a part of the superintendent selection process, and arranging for the same if needed. 4.2 COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT 4.2.1 Work with Board members and the Accountability Committee to further develop meaningful community involvement that has multiple phases. 4.2.2 Assist in the arrangement for meetings and gathering of input from stakeholders, including development of surveys, including large-scale electronic surveys, to distribute to internal and external stakeholder groups and preparing written summaries of the input gathered; offer community involvement in developing survey questions; define how stakeholder information will be assessed, communicated and utilized. 4.3 SOLICITATION OF APPLICATIONS 4.3.1 Develop an application form that reflects the criteria established by the Board. 4.3.2 Develop the vacancy announcement, advertise the position, send out information to all interested applicants, and actively recruit nation-wide for applicants who will meet the district’s needs. 4.3.3 Provide a complete list of all marketing, advertising and communication efforts to the Accountability Committee for review, including reaching out to potential candidates who have not applied.
