Specifications include, but are not limited to: DERBY HILLS ELEMENTARY – 2” ASPHALT MILLING: 16,987 SF (red on map); EL PASO ELEMENTARY – 2” ASPHALT MILLING: 11,387 SF (red on map); Mill entire asphalt surface down to 2” depth. Haul millings off-site. After milling is complete, a USD 260 representative and contractor will inspect the base lift of asphalt to determine if additional repairs/stabilization efforts are needed prior to paving the overlay. EL PASO ELEMENTARY - CONCRETE APPROACH REPLACEMENT: 809 SF (blue on map) WITH PERIMETER CURBING: 64 LF Remove existing asphalt and concrete gutter to 8” depth, as shown on the map. Over-excavate existing base as needed to improve driving profile by lowering 3-4” in the center. Re-grade surrounding topsoil as needed and prepare for seeding. Re-compact existing subgrade. Drill and install anchors in adjacent concrete using ½” rebar on 2’ centers. Install heavy steel reinforcement, per City of Derby code. Form and pour new 8” thick 4,000 PSI concrete approach and gutters, per City of Derby code. DERBY HILLS ELEMENTARY – 2” ASPHALT OVERLAY: 16,987 SF (red on map) EL PASO ELEMENTARY – 2” ASPHALT OVERLAY: 11,387 SF (red on map) Thoroughly clean the milled surface and apply SS1H tack oil. Pave and compact a 2” hot-mix asphalt overlay on existing base asphalt. Asphalt mix to be used: BM-2 Surface Mix. All workmanship and materials to meet or exceed City of Derby quality and ADA Slope Specifications. STRIPING: 1 LS: Re-stripe all parking areas, drive lanes, and curbs using Sherwin Williams “Hotline” striping paint. Contractor should coordinate with Jeff Ohmes, Supervisor of Grounds for USD 260, prior to painting to ensure accuracy. Striping to match existing layout.
