Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Prepare and submit all required Work Plans and Submittals. 2. Obtain (including paying all fees and providing all bonds) and maintain all local, state, and federal permits required to facilitate performance of the Work. Contractor obtained permits include, but are not limited to: a. DigSafe Clearance b. Application for Permit to Work on Public Road / Highways c. Building/Electrical Permits 3. Mobilization and Site Preparation including, but not limited to: a. Contractor’s Health and Safety: 1) Provide a Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan (HASP) in accordance with Section 01 35 29 – Contractors Health and Safety Plan. 2) Conduct and implement health and safety monitoring for the duration of Work. b. Perform additional investigation work deemed necessary by the Contractor. This includes additional surveys of structures or other features in the area of Work and the performance of subsurface explorations as deemed necessary. c. Mobilize necessary personnel, equipment, and materials to the Site. d. Perform Surveys in accordance with Section 02 21 00 - Surveys to establish survey control for the performance of the Work. e. Verify locations of all existing utilities and structures. Protect existing utilities and structures not scheduled for demolition or removal/abandonment for the duration of the Work. f. Furnish, install, monitor, and maintain temporary barriers and enclosures including temporary fencing, safety fencing, and gates to maintain security at the Site at all times. g. Install and maintain a temporary construction entrance to the Site. h. Furnish, install, monitor, and maintain temporary controls including, but not limited to, erosion, sedimentation, surface water, turbidity, and dust controls within the Limits of Work and as shown on Drawings and as described in the Specifications. Adjust, relocate, or provide additional temporary controls as work progresses. Inspect, repair, and / or replace temporary controls as work progresses. Maintain supplies of temporary controls at all times on Site that can be used for replacement as required. i. Furnish, install, and maintain all temporary utilities, field offices, and signage. j. Perform clearing and grubbing within the Limits of Work as necessary to complete the Work and as shown on the Drawings. k. Prepare and construct staging areas and controls as required to perform Work including, but not limited to; 1) Construction Parking 2) Concrete Washout Area 3) Construction Trailer(s) (if needed) 4) Soil Stockpile Area 5) Material/Equipment Staging Area 6) Temporary Construction Entrance/Wheel Wash Station 4. Perform demolition activities within the Limits of Work including, but not limited to: a. Excavate and remove concrete foundations to an elevation 1-foot below finish grade. b. Excavate, remove, and demolish existing wood rail fencing including fence posts (and any fence post footings encountered) as shown on the Drawings. c. Remove and dispose of signs and posts as shown on the drawings d. Remove and dispose of the utility pole as shown on the drawings. e. Remove and dispose of the concrete car stops as shown on the drawings. f. Remove and dispose of a portion of the concrete retaining wall as shown on the drawings. g. Remove and dispose of existing septic system components as shown on the drawings and in accordance with RIDEM On-Site Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) Rules. h. Segregate, manage, and dispose/recycle off-Site concrete generated during the Work. i. Remove, segregate, manage, and stockpile existing asphalt pavement for off-Site disposal or recycling. j. Decontaminate, segregate, process, transport, stage, and manage demolition debris and materials within material staging areas. k. Load, transport, dispose and/or recycle all demolition debris at an Owner approved facility. l. Retain, manage, and stockpile existing boulders, rip rap and cobbles for re-use during Site restoration. 5. Remove and dispose of concrete rubble and other debris from the shoreline along the coastal feature abutting the Pettaquamscutt River. Concrete is proposed to be broken up and removed from the existing revetment. The revetment shall then be rebuilt with a reduced slope using existing available rip rap stone that is already present on the coastal feature as shown on the drawings.
