Specifications include, but are not limited to: Thunder Bay Transportation Authority (TBTA) is soliciting proposals from qualified Consultants to analyze and determine a corrective action plan to replace and/or repair the roof on the TBTA facility and to correct the interior damage caused by the defective roof. The facility was completed in July, 2017; however the roof has leaked since shortly after completion, which has caused significant damage to the interior of the building. Attempts to have the contractor to repair the roof were unsuccessful and the contractor has subsequently gone out of business. The roof must be examined to determine if it can be repaired or if a redesign is required. The selected consultant will review and analyze the existing facility to determine alternatives and present those alternatives to the TBTA board. Once the TBTA board determines which alternative to proceed with, the selected consultant will complete final design drawings and construction documents for bid for the roof along with the interior repairs needed. The selected consultant will bid the project out and oversee construction.
