Specifications include, but are not limited to: ITD’s goal is to provide cost effective, safe, and well-maintained office buildings for its employees by hiring a Contractor to provide janitorial services. Services will generally include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, break rooms, offices and conference rooms; removing trash; sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors; dusting and sanitizing office areas, including the equipment and furniture in these areas; and cleaning glass/windows. ITD is seeking a green cleaning contract, intended to reduce the introduction of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in the building and to maintain a high level of air quality. The Contractor must employ methods, procedures and equipment that facilitate a green cleaning initiative using less energy and water, to reduce the buildings’ overall carbon footprint. The use of micro-fiber cloth technology, bio-cleansers, or plant-based organic cleansers whenever and wherever possible is encouraged.
