All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: 8 Bidder shall coordinate all schedules and delays with the City’s designated contact for herbicide and fertilizer applications. 9 Bidder will use only equipment standard to a professional fertilizer/chemical application business and suitable for performing the services described herein. 10 Bidder will have equipment available for inspection by the City prior to beginning services. 11 Bidder understands the spray equipment operator is responsible for the accurate and proper application of the herbicide spray and fertilizer to the designated site using good application delivery procedures as generally recognized as correct by professionals in the ground herbicide and fertilizer application industry. The spray equipment operator is responsible at all times for the safe operation of the spray equipment. The spray equipment operator is responsible for the identification and avoidance of all hazards in the operation area. 12 Herbicide and fertilizer application services will only be permitted during daylight hours Monday through Friday, and in accordance with the City of Bentonville Noise Ordinance. 13 Bidder will conduct the application operations at a time of day (usually early morning) when there are the least amount of patrons within the park that is being treated. 14 Bidder understands that applications may be reduced or rescheduled at certain times in certain situations to avoid potential conflict with park use. 15 Bidder understands that the City seeks to provide the patrons of Bentonville with high quality, well-maintained parks and that the awarded Bidder will be expected to be professional, detail oriented and quality driven. 16 Bidder agrees that they will be required to notify the City’s designated contact for parks herbicide and fertilizer applications no less than 24 (twenty four) hours prior to performing herbicide and fertilizer applications and within 24 hours of completing each application. 17 Bidder must show proof of a valid Pesticide Application Business License issued by the Arkansas State Plant Board in the category or categories appropriate for the target plant material and the sites to be treated. The current valid certificate must be submitted with the Bid Submission.
