Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project consists of constructing upgrades to and expansion of the Rolling ‘A’ Wastewater Treatment Facility (a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) process system) to 1.6 million gallons per day (maximum 30-day average) and includes the following major work components: 1. Partial demolition and modifications to existing SBR 5 to repurpose the reactor to a flow Equalization Basin, including a mixing and partial aeration system. 2. New Equalization Pump Station downstream of the Equalization Basin to pump raw wastewater to the new Flow Splitter structure. 3. New Flow Splitter reinforced concrete structure for distribution of wastewater to the new and existing SBRs, including flow monitoring to each SBR basin. 4. Two new SBRs (SBR 1&2) consisting of reinforced concrete reactor basins with Sanitaire process equipment (mixers, pumps, decant mechanism, aeration diffusers, and associated instrumentation) to be provide and installed by the Contractor. 5. Partial demolition and replacement of existing Sanitaire process equipment in existing SBRs 3&4. 6. Partial demolition and modifications to existing SBRs 1A/B&2, to repurpose the reactors to a Sanitaire Vorelodos System (Digesters) for sludge thickening. Process equipment (mixers, pumps, decant mechanism, aeration diffusers, blowers, and associated instrumentation) to be provided and installed by the Contractor. 7. Replacement of three existing aeration blowers in the Operations Building. 8. New screw press in Solids Handling Facility. 9. Demolition of existing Sludge Pond and construction of new 1.7 million gallon Emergency Pond consisting of a geomembrane liner, ballast system, and associated piping. 10. New yard piping associated with the plant expansion.
