Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department for Children and families is seeking competitive bids for janitorial services for the Department for Children and Families, Garden City Service Center, 1710 Palace Drive, Garden City, KS. There is 27,050 sq. ft. comprised of approximately: 23,300 sq. ft. carpet; 3,750 sq. ft. tile ; It is anticipated that there will be areas of extreme soilage, including hallways, waiting areas, entry ways, reception areas, etc, which may require cleaning on a more frequent basis, especially during inclement weather. The Contractor shall ensure this extreme soilage is controlled and cleaned, as needed, to maintain the overall cleanliness of the facility. See task schedule for additional carpet cleaning requirements. Contractor is to furnish all soaps for cleaning, detergents, waxes, carpet cleaning supplies and dust cloths. All equipment, including vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, polishers, buffers, brooms, mops, etc., are to be furnished by the Contractor. All equipment must be capable of providing high quality, commercial grade janitorial service. Equipment designed for only light type, residential duty will not be permitted. Agency reserves the right to periodically, at random, inspect equipment and to require replacement, if not adequate in agencies evaluation. Agency will provide toilet paper, paper towels, light bulbs, liquid hand soap and trash can liners.
