Specifications include, but are not limited to: ITS and ITD are seeking an exemption from a competitive procurement to order and install STARLINK satellite internet services where there is no other practical option available. Currently there is no State or NASPO contract vehicle available to procure these services and the only option available to order these services is directly from STARLINK using their online portal. The POC sites managed by ITS and ITD were selected because there was either: • No contracted service provider available for the site • The contracted or incumbent local carrier could not provide the service or could not provide adequate bandwidth to meet the sites business requirements (i.e. Lucky Peak State Park the best ANY carrier can offer is 1.5M bandwidth) • The contracted or incumbent local carrier could provide bandwidth to meet the locations business requirements but, the one time and/or ongoing costs are exorbitant (i.e. for the ITD Bovill site current incumbent final mile costs would be $10,120 per month) Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification.
