Specifications include, but are not limited to: The state’s objectives are to evaluate Traffic Signal LED Lamps, Supply & Deliver industry and fortify the State’s current process and contracts. The State understands that there has been shortages and price fluctuations in the Traffic Signal LED Lamps industry. Our goal of this RFI is to gain documentable market insight from industry participants. a. Shall meet Institute of Transportation Engineers, Vehicle Traffic Control Signal Heads: Light Emitting Diode (LED) Circular Signal Supplement: Dated June 27, 2005 b. Lens color shall be tinted the following: i. Red for RED LED ii. Yellow for YELLOW LED iii. Clear for GREEN LED c. Operating Voltage: 80V AC - 135V AC (120V AC nominal) d. Operating Temp Range: -40°C to +74°C e. LED Arrows shall be fully compliant to the “Omni-directional” specifications of the ITE VTCSH - LED Vehicle Arrow Traffic Signal Supplement adopted July 1, 2007. f. The manufacture must have the modules certified and listed by Intertek Testing Laboratories LED certification program as meeting the requirements of the ITE specification stated above; 2. Connectors & Wiring: a. The LED signal module shall have spade lug connectors for terminating the power leads for the module to the signal head termination block. The screw size for the termination block is #8-32 b. Wiring shall be 36 inch minimum, 18 AWG, Color Coded with Strain Relief.
